Summer is over and our Summer Reading Program was a huge success. We had more than 1,000 attendees for our seven programs and the children read 6,862 books - WOW!! That is nearly 3,000 more books than last summer. School has started and so has our Thursday Storytime for preschoolers. Our Augutst theme with Mrs. Rachel has been "Healthy Kids" and on August 26th Patsy Williamson will be at the library with her "Mighty Kids Fitness Program". Beginning September 9th @ 10:30 Mrs. Velvet will start Storytime again with our theme this year of "A Cast of Characters" which will cover all of our beloved storybook characters that we all love so much.

Coming up at the library: Saturday, October 2nd is our Fall Book Sale and Waffle Breakfast. Jim and Jane Caldwell will be fixing their scrumptious waffles and you won't want to miss this! We are currently taking book donations for the sale - please watch the Advocate/Website for our "@ the Library" article where we showcase the week's activities and our new books that are on the shelves.
