Happy Holidays from the South Cheatham Public Library! This is my favorite time of year. I love the changing of the seasons, the cool crisp air, cooking special goodies, and the special programs here at the library. On November 2^nd we began our “Food for Fines” program, which is an overdue fine amnesty program where you can bring in non-perishable food items in lieu of money to pay your fine. For each dollar you owe you can donate a food item and all proceeds go to the ARK food pantry. It’s a win-win program designed to help everyone involved and will run until New Year’s. The Kingston Springs Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Cookie Contest is coming up on Thursday, December 3^rd at 7:00. The cookie contest categories are Best Cookie-Adult (ages 13+) and Best Cookie-Child (12 and under). Please bring 2 dozen cookies by 3:00 on the 3^rd for the judging. Santa Claus is coming to the library on Saturday, December 5^th from 9:00-11:00 to meet and greet the children. He will be giving out candy canes and good wishes so parents bring your camera because you will want to catch every precious moment.
